The XIV World Badminton Championships (WBC) is an International Badminton Federation (IBF) Grade 7* Event that took place at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim in Anaheim, California on August 15-21, 2005.

May 27, 2005 Update: The 2005 (7th) World Coaches Conference which was scheduled to be held in conjunction with the World Championships between August 18-20, 2005 has been postponed due to the lack of time to obtain research findings and the unavailability of several keynote speakers. An announcement will be made when a new date has been set for the 7th World Coaches Conference.

The XIII World Badminton Championships was held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England on July 28 to August 3, 2003.
